The Power Went Out During the First Dance...

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen me document this (If you don’t- shame on you! @FreddyMacOnAir). And I wanted to share my experience with you. I’ll try my best to keep this short:

On July 13th (2019), I djayed a wedding of some good friends of mine, Dan and Erin at the Anne Springs Close Greenway- Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, SC. A beautiful venue tucked away down a dirt road, with amazing views! (This post is not meant to expose them in a negative light.)
Despite the torrential downpour going on outside, mainly during the ceremony, everything was perfect! After dinner is where things took a turn.
20 seconds into the first dance...THE ELECTRICITY GOES OUT!! As you can imagine, the longer the lights were out, the more worried everyone became. The building manager thought it was a blown fuse- turned out to big a bigger issue with electricity on the entire property. No electricity means no A/C, and it got hot inside veryyyy quickly. As guests made their way to the outdoor patio, the Father of the Groom drove his pickup truck around back and onto the patio. I linked my phone to truck, and the newlywed couple were able to have their First Dance in full followed by the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances. All while this was happening, some of wedding guests went and bought a generator. Other guests helped me move my DJ equipment outside. I plugged everything in and we had an awesome party!! The way everyone came together to make this wedding celebration end on the highest note was incredible to see! Thank you so much to Dan and Erin for allowing me to be apart of their big day! #GoingGarber
